Hernan Lander employs visions of modern art and creative forms of architecture in his designs. "The beauty of any craft is that it is endless" he observes. The designer uses only the highest quality leather, jersey, silk and crystal beading's among other materials that are all imported from Italy, in combinations that fit his creative vision of beauty. All of his garments are exclusively made in New York.
Hernan Lander continues to expand his business and reputation as one of Dominican Republic’s top designers. He is now poised to make his mark on the demanding U.S. fashion scene and market.

hernan lander latest creations took femininity to the next level with heavy Matt jersey jackets, power net leggings, floor length skirts and print dresses in bold color combinations. Also known for his accessories, the designer created the shoes for his collection. The much coveted designs included leather strappy platform sandals in black, white and beige shades.
After collaborating with designers such as Proenza Schouler, Rogelio Velasco, Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan, Hernan does not compromise when it comes to quality. His clothes are made from luxurious materials that fall beautifully on the female body incorporating the principles of haute couture. It is this kind of perfectionism that has made him a favorite with much-photographed celebrities such as Ashanti, Toni Braxton and Julia Jones for whom every angle counts.
The makeup reflected the inspiration behind the designs enhancing the natural beauty of the models with added golden tones inspired by Egyptian goddesses. Makeup Forever sponsored the event with rich pigments, flash color, elixir’s for the skin and their new collection.
It was a lovely summer evening in New York with guests enjoying the one-hour open bar sponsored by the Empire Hotel and Overtime group and the tunes by DJ Maksim Semenov. Sightings included editors from Marie Claire, Black book, Zink, Panache Mode, Times square, Soma, Unvogue and Social Life magazine. Model and Actress Sally Ferreira was among the VIP guests in a dress by the designer's FW2010 collection. Hernan met Sally on the set of Model Latina where the designer is set to appear on the season's finale.
