MDollNYC Travels to Trinidad & Tobago.
From: JFK to Port of Spain.
Today i will be showing you a little bit of what i did while i was in Trinidad & Tobago, i am sure you have noticed i don't look like the typical Venezuelan girl and that's because my Mother was born in Trinidad and my entire family on her side is Trini and i have a few other mixtures like Indian and Chinese. MDollNYC nationality is International haha.
I will like to Thank my uncle Michael who gifted me my ticket to this wonderful trip to celebrate my birthday in Trinidad and Tobago.
Welcome to Carib Country
Piarco International Airport.
Once i arrived to Trinidad i stayed at one of my favorite cousins house in Malabar Arima.
One of my favorite things is being spoiled by my aunt Carmen she cooks sooooo delicious, this was my welcome meal, BBQ homestyle chicken, Callaloo which is made out of okra, spinach, spices, coconut milk, pumpkin and flavored with crab meat, Macaroni salad and Chinese style fried rice.
This was at TrinCity Mall i spotted a Pay Phone with dial toned, it was a little funny since i haven't seen one of these in a long time.
At the mall i had some fresh fruit punch juice from "Just Juiced", like real fruit punch juice not the american style juices, then i had some delicious plain white rice, curry shrimp and some seasoned green beans.
For dessert homemade Coconut Ice Cream.
Part of this trip was to celebrate my 32nd birthday with my family and enjoy the beauty of this fabulous island.
My cousin Alana which is one of my favorites came from Atlanta and brought my little baby cousin Zoë which i love so so much, in this picture we are all off to the Zoo.
I don't remember when was the last time i went to the Zoo but i am glad i got to share this special moment with my cousins.
Here is my cousin Danielle who was part of our Zoo bonding with Zoë.
Emperor Valley Zoo in Port of Spain
Princess was a cute Pony i spotted at the Zoo.
The weather was so hot that day, we defenitely needed these snow cones to cool us down, topped with some sweet condensed milk.
Flamingo's at the Zoo love it.
My Cute 87 years old Grandfather Rupert Simpson who lives in Trinidad & Tobago.
These are some of the traditional Beers, Coolers and Malta on T&T.
This is one of my favorite things to eat made of flour, split peas, curry garbanzo and a little tamarind sauce for flavor paired with my ultimate favorite soda a Pear Chubby.
Thank you for reading stay tuned for more of my trip of Trinidad & Tobago.
