SUMMER BRUNCH @ NYY STEAK MANHATTAN
Let me introduce you to my guests, Delmis Fernandez and Venessa Alcantara, they are 2 special people and married couple that attends my church, they are my brother and sister in Christ.
I visit NYY STEAK Restaurant maybe 2 month's ago, that's when i discover NYY STEAK while strolling around Rocketfeller Center in Manhattan with my mom on a Monday during lunch time in May, i was super exited to know that NYY STEAK is the Yankees restaurant because you know my blog is all about discovering what's fabulous everywhere, specially in my own city New York.
During my first visit i met Erik Gonzaga who greeted my mother and i to see if our meal was ok, i mentioned to him that i am a NYC fashion blogger and both of us exchange business cards, i also ask him if he will allow me to return in a proper manner and do a full review in exchange for a comp dinner with a plus 1 sometime in the near future or before the summer ends, and he totally agree and said to e-mail him when i am ready.
I finally decided to e-mail Erik last month and tell him that i was ready for my review and comp dinner with my guest, i had to think very hard who i wanted to invited because i wanted to make sure my guest will be someone who was a die hard Yankees fan and that will appreciate this all the way not just a girlfriend i treated for a delicious comp meal.
The only person i know who speaks about the Yankees this much and even threw a birthday party for his son's first birthday with the Yankees theme is Delmis, then i realize it will not be polite of me to invite him for dinner when he is married so i decided to ask Erik if the NYY STEAK team will be kind to allow me to actually bring one more guest for a comp dinner and luckily he said yes.
I was extremely happy because this was a blessing that they will actually allow 3 people for this review and comp meal, then i was even more excited to deliver the news to Delmis and Venessa they were both thrilled and so grateful to accompanied me to NYY STEAK in Manhattan.
Erik connected me to Amy and then, she set-up our reservation and was kind to invite us to try their Sunday Brunch which is only seasonal our reservation was given for July 26th, this worked out perfectly because Delmis has never been to NYY STEAK and have always wanted to go and Sunday July 26th was his Wife Venessa's Birthday as well how amazing was that right? to me this was a doble doze of blessings.
And i can't thank the Entire NYY STEAK Team enough for this opportunity.

Sunday Brunch at NYY STEAK is Great!!!!!
As soon as we arrived to the restaurant we we're seated because they was expecting us, plus we arrived at 2:00pm due that we had church that morning since it was on a Sunday.
Brunch Hours at NYY STEAK in Manhattan is from 11:00am to 3:00pm
Vanessa and I started with a Mimosa which was made with freshly squeezed orange juice it was so good.
Then we met Martha who is originally from the Dominican Republic and brought us some water to our table which was much needed because it was extremely hot that day.

Delmis was truly happy and so pleased he said i had many one of his dreams come true, i was a little bit in shock because i Love the Yankee's and Derek Jeter don't get me wrong but to me it was a fun opportunity and blessing to be invited for a comp meal.
But to Delmis it was more than that he shared with me how he will always see the NYY STEAK restaurant at the Yankees Stadium sometimes when he goes to watch the baseball games but he just didn't have the opportunity to go yet with his family.
To witness and see his face, happiness and smile while we we're seated waiting on our meals it was awesome it was like a Big kid in a candy store and he constantly keep repeating to me Thank you and this is just a dream and you really don't know what it means, those little words made my happy heart that the NYY STEAK Team and my self made someone's dream come true that day.
My first course meal was this:
Housemade Granola, Greek Yogurt and Fresh Berries.
Delmis and Vanessa Split a salad as their first course meal which they we're glad because it was a big portion for 2.
Chicken Caesar Salad: hearts of romaine, grilled chicken, aged parmesan, garlic croutons, anchovy dressing.
How cool is the pepper grinder it looked like a baseball metal bat.
Meet Ashley our friendly and awesome server who is originally from Trinidad and Tobago.
This is not something we order but a special dish that the Chef prepared for us to try along with the other dish bellow from this picture.
Ahi Tuna Tartare: avocado, asian pear, ponzu, cilantro.
Heirloom Tomato & Burrata: Local tomatoes, burrata, arugula, pickled red onion, miso vinaigrette.
I love everything about the heirloom tomato & burrata salad.
While we we're waiting for our second course meal, Delmis shared with me many of the importance of all the wall pictures displayed on the wall including the players names, numbers and greatest moments on each wall of the restaurant.
It amaze me how much of a die hard fan he is, some of the sorties was just funny but very cool, he also shared how his apartment was full of so many Yankees stuff that he own and once he got married to his wife she had to accept him in their new home with everything and his entire Yankees collection.
I truly believe he has a lot of Yankees stuff and maybe one day i will have to go check it out.
Paul O'neill 1996 World Series
On Sunday July 26th while we was brunching they we're actually passing a baseball game on every tv screen at the restaurant.
Delmis was happy to be watching it there, eating at the Yankee's restaurant and spending his wife birthday with her, he said what more can he ask for as a perfect Sunday.

Cool refreshing and delicious drinks made by the bartender for a few guest that was seated at the restaurant.
Steak & Eggs: 8 oz. prime skirt steak, 2 organic free-range eggs served with crispy rosemary fingerling potatoes
Everything looked so good on the brunch menú that we couldn't decide but since it's know for steak what better dish during brunch than Eggs and Steak, so all 3 of us decided to get the same thing with 3 different style of eggs.
My choice was Over Medium Eggs
Delmis choice was Egg Whites and
Venessa had Scrambled Eggs.
Same dish as the above but with scrambled eggs.
The potatoes was extremely yummy and so savory and seasoned to perfection, the steak was fresh, juice and tender.
Time for dessert and sing Vanessa Happy Birthday.
They didn't send her one cake and a candle but 2 delicious choices, i told her that since her little girl Rocio and little baby boy Isaiah wasn't there to feel like it was them who sent her each one of those desserts.
Colossal Chocolate Cake: dark chocolate, layered with chocolate mousse, served with berries & warn fudge
I don't love chocolate much but this Colossal Chocolate Cake was the best cake i have ever tried, since Vanessa shared with us a piece of her sliced cakes.
New York Style Cheesecake: sour cherry compote, coffee syrup, graham cracker crust.
Who doesn't love a good New York Style Cheesecake.
What i love the most about NYY STEAK Restaurant dishes is that every dish has a unique housemade touch to it, that you will only find in-house and nowhere else for example the homemade granola, then the garlic croutons and anchovy dressing, the Ahi tuna tartare, the well seasoned and cooked tender watering steaks and seasoned to perfection potatoes, the chocolate cake and last thing the Fig Jam they brought out for the bread.
i have never tried Fig Jam in my life but the taste and flavor was amazing!!!!!
I think i have give you many reason of why you should try the NYY Steak restaurant weather it is in Manhattan, The Yankees Stadium or for my Florida people there is one in Coconut Creek.
After our stuff and full tummies from so many delicious meals we tried today at brunch it was time for our full tour of the restaurant.
Ashley our server give us the tour and explained each room to us from the Vault to the room you can book for private events, she also mention to us that the restaurant was previously and old bank, so the vault was pretty cool to see how they turn it into.

I am glad i had Delmis, because he helped me with all the wall pictures and explained each special moment so for all those wall pictures where i placed the names of the players and greatest moment's i thank Delmis for giving me a 101 Yankee's lesson.

How cool are these Steak knives, so each one has the players name's on it, they are called VIP knives where when each player dine with NYY STEAK they replace their regular steak knives with these.
How awesome is that right?

With one of the coolest and most attentive Manager's i've met.
Meet Alex Sariyan the Assistant General Manager for NYY STEAK in Manhattan, i loved that he wasn't suited up and looked chilled and cool with his look.
He was extremely attentive an very polite and kept and eye on us since we walked in the door, he greeted us, he came several times to our table to see how we we're doing and then surprised us with those 2 fantastic meals i posted above and even took the time to explain each one of them to us.
The service everyone provided to us was beyond my expectations from Martha who brought us water, then our server Ashley she was GREAT, then AGM Alex for his attentive service and of course Erik Gonzaga and Amy Chandra who approved and set up this wonderful brunch reservation for through e-mail.
I truly recommend this restaurant even if you are a fan or not you will totally leave feeling like one, i also love that they validate parking for you on 48th St between 5&6th Ave there is a garage which they will validate 4 hours of parking for only $30 that is a steal, because parking in Manhattan specially on a weekend is insane and not only that one hour could go for $27-$35 so that is very kind of the restaurant to validate that for their dinning customers.
