I can't believe that Dine with MDoll was just about 2 weeks ago, this was a last minute preparation to kick off NYFW with fabulous fashion people and my close New York City friends.
When the idea came to mind I didn't have a venue, or invites or anything planned out, just an idea of something positive and inspiring in my mind.
Many people asked me about my invitations after giving them a buzz and posting them on social media and everyone wanted to know where I got them done.
Well, they were crafted Mayra Betances, founder of D&E Papel.
I met Mayra at the BELLA New York Mag White Party in the Hampton’s this summer. She was so full of energy and approached me with such a positive vibe. It felt like I knew her forever plus I was so in love with the invites she had made for that event! They were unique, glam, fabulous and PINK.
We exchanged numbers and a little after that, we stayed in contact by messaging each other on Facebook and text messages. She’s just a cool and positive person to talk with.
When my idea of the party came about for September 9, 2015 I asked her if she would make my invites and she was so excited to make them! My guest list was a very small one, so she decided to sponsor them! I was thrilled, and that to me was a blessing.
I love that Mayra studies and listens to her client’s needs and ideas well, she also gives her input while addressing their concerns, pays attention to their style and creates magic! That magic simply leaves you with a WOW factor you won't regret.
Here is a little Q&A I did with Mayra Betances because I wanted to know a little bit more about D&E Papel, her stationary online business.

Q1. Tell me a little bit of D&E Papel.
A1. D&E Papel is a stationary online business that branched out of My Perfect Little Party which was an event decorating, full-service business I originally had. At D&E Papel I go above and beyond to make your event’s first impression a fabulous one with a unique and completely handcrafted invitation. I work with my client to bring their vision and my guidance to a middle ground, leading to a fantastic design.
Q2. Who are the founders of D&E Papel?
A2. I am the CEO and Founder of D&E Papel.
Q3. Why did you name your company D&E Papel ?
A3. D&E Papel name originates from my two younger children Deogo and Ella, they are always on top of everything. Deogo my 10 year old is my logistics manager…I meant it. And Ella is my artistic right hand. She helps in every aspect of the assembly process and often comes up with her own designs. Papel is paper in Spanish which is my native language. At first, I thought of paperie which is French for paper but, I quickly changed my mind as I realized that Papel might sound as appealing as paperie does to other languages and it aligns with my Hispanic roots.
Q4. What's the most exciting crafting project you've ever had and why?
A4. The most exciting crafting project I had was designing and making the invitations for BELLA New York’s White Party hosted by Lisa Vanderpump. All of my creations have my full and above all my attention, but this time the pressure was heavier as the potential for triumph or total disaster was on! One of the key elements, the flower, took about 5 days as I had to submerge it in color dye fabric water just to get the perfect hue desired. With a due date fast approaching and a limited staff, shift rotations for quality control had to be immaculate in order to finish all 320 invitations. The guest list was nothing short of top celebrities coming to celebrate at The Hamptons and my invitations were the first impressions they would receive. I’m proud to say with relief that they damn well did!
Q5. Who will be your favorite celebrity to work with and make special invites from D&E Papel for.
A5. My favorite celebrity to work for one day would be Reese Witherspoon and if I get to pick another, it would be Sofia Vergara. FYI I have been told in numerous occasions that if someone where to play me in a movie it had to be Sofia! Our personalities and energy are very similar so they say she and I tend to agree. I love Jennifer Aniston as well.
Q6. Why was it a good idea to collaborate with blogger Martha Luna of MDollNYC for Dine With MDoll.?
A6. It was a fantastic idea to collaborate with dear Martha because she simply had me at “Hello". It is extremely difficult to meet and find people in this blogging and celebrity lifestyle who stay true to their genuine self. Martha has done that with character and I am lucky to have connected with her.

Q7. Any upcoming projects from D&E Papel you will like to share with us?
A7. D&E Papel has many projects coming up...I'm getting ready to launch my greeting card stationary line and finalizing details on the retail end in two locations in New Jersey. I'm also working on a community project that I hold dear to my heart which is collecting used costumes and donating them to the less fortunate children in two small schools in the Dominican Republic. This is my 3rd year bringing a smile and happy memories for kids who might not be able to experience this otherwise. I'm also working on organizing a new chapter for ETTWomen who is a sisterhood group that has given my business and my life immense support...like really!

Simply beautiful i really loved it, i actually framed mines somewhere in my bedroom.
Not only did Mayra did my invites she also made my dinner menús and my dinner table picture frame, it was perfect i love how everything matched but simply unique and the expectations was about what i pictured, i had received my invitations first and i was so happy with them that at this point i just trust Mayra with her vision for the menús and dinner table picture frame.

I love that at the bottom of the picture she added a little bling and the word Inspire exactly what i live for everyday, Thank You so much Mayra Betances my Mayrita is the nickname i give her, you are awesome and i don't think i could ever get my invites done by anyone else but D&E Papel ever hahaha.
